The CR400AF electric multiple unit, a product of China Railway Corporation's collaboration with CRRC Corporation Limited, represents China's independently developed innovation in the field of high-speed rail. This train operates seamlessly on both China's passenger dedicated lines and high-speed railways. Boasting a maximum operational speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the CR400AF features a power-dispersed design, AC transmission, and an aluminum alloy hollow profile body.
The train's flexible 8-car formation allows for various combinations of power units, catering to diverse passenger flow demands.
Significant improvements have been made to the CR400AF in terms of passenger space, air conditioning, luggage rack arrangement, cabin lighting, and accessibility facilities. Notably, the spacing between second-class seats has been uniformly increased to 1020 millimeters, while first-class seats now enjoy a more spacious 1160-millimeter gap, ensuring a more comfortable journey. Additionally, uninterrupted 220V power sockets are provided for passengers' convenience.
To align with environmental sustainability and energy efficiency standards, the Chinese standard high-speed train incorporates a sleek, low-resistance streamlined head design and a streamlined significantly reducing aerodynamic drag and thus minimizing energy consumption during continuous operation, the standardization of components across various models facilitates their interchangeable use, greatly reducing lifecycle costs associated with operation, maintenance, and repairs.

It is designed for direct illumination of driver’s desk working place.Its special design ensures uniform distribution of the light on required working place on driver’s desk. It ensures any neither glare effect for driver nor reflections in the displays nearby.
Emergency call button AN01 is designed for high speed train 400AF project. The installation location is on the side wall. This design is a button installed in a public place or device to call for rescue or alarm in an emergency in high speed railway.
