160 Intercity Train Intercity trains, also known as Inter-City Rail Service, primarily serve as passenger trains operating between neighboring significant cities or urban agglomerations. Characterized by their relatively short travel distances, durations, and limited number of cities visited, these trains typically do not feature sleeper carriages. The core function of intercity trains lies in efficiently handling passenger traffic between nearby cities. The CRH6F intercity EMU train features an eight-car configuration, offering 510 seats and a standard seating capacity of 1,470 passengers. With an overload capacity approaching 2,000 passengers, it currently holds the title of China's largest EMU in terms of passenger capacity.
